The Garden(s) of Refuge project, conceptualized by Vanessa Agnew, includes a Miyawaki micro-forest on TU Dortmund’s campus and a corresponding landscaped space on the University of Cincinnati’s campus, dedicated to fostering a sense of community and support for students, scholars, and individuals from around the world. The symposium offers a space for thoughtful interdisciplinary conversations on ecology, well-being, migration, and academic freedom.
