Prof. Jason Young and Sheri Sytsema-Geiger from the University of Michigan, USA, met with representatives of the Academy in Exile team, the International Office at TU Dortmund University, the Kulturwissenschaftliches Institut Essen, the University of Duisburg-Essen and the University Alliance Ruhr New York to discuss internationalization and collaboration strategies. To mark the new collaboration between Academy in Exile and the University of Michigan‘s Institute for the Humanities, the guests planted a tree in Academy in Exile’s Garden(s) of Refuge. They were joined by AiE fellows and students from the „Planting A Mini Forest“ and „The Wonder of Trees“ seminars at TU Dortmund University.
